11th Annual Legends of the Hardwood Breakfast

On the heals of the much publicized Superbowl Breakfast in Miami, Athletes in Action is preparing for the annual Legends of the Hardwood in Atlanta, Georgia. The Legends of the Hardwood Breakfast is one of the premier events during the NCAA Final Four weekend. On March 31st, more than 1,500 top-level business executives will come to hear basketball greats such as Coach Wooden, Jerry Colangelo, Clark Kellogg, David Thompson, Tubby Smith, Bobby Jones, and Mark Price.

The Legends of the Hardwood Breakfast, a partnership between Athletes in Action and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, recognizes the importance of leadership, character, and integrity, and honors heroes in the world of sports.

Changed Lives from Beyond the Ultimate Web Site

On Friday, February 2, Campus Crusade placed a full-page, color advertisement in the USA Today Super Bowl special section as part of the Beyond the Ultimate outreach. As of February 22,
1465 visitors indicated decisions for Christ!

The ad featured both Super Bowl teams' head coaches and points readers to a special web site: www.BeyondTheUltimate.org, which features articles and streaming video from players and coaches who share their stories and talk about their faith in Jesus Christ. The web site will eventually be retooled to feature athletes and coaches for particular events such as March Madness, the Olympics, the World Series and other major sporting events.

College and high school students spend their summer building spiritual movements

This summer, hundreds of high school and college students will make their lives echo in eternity.  They will do it on a spiritual plane, expanding God's kingdom across the United States and around the world by building spiritual movements.

"Summer projects help us get to the mission of movements everywhere," says Mark Gauthier, director of the Campus Ministry. "It's one of the best things we do." Ranging from one to ten weeks in length, with trips geared towards students with all kinds of interests and abilities, and with locations that literally span the globe, now is the time for students to apply for one of these life-changing opportunities.
